The six sizes are 6.5″ x 9″ oversized neighborhood flyer, 6.5″ x 11″ super-size flat, 8.5″ x 11″ letter circular, 6″ x 11″ jumbo mailer, 9″ x 12″ large business flat, and 4″ x 11″ panoramic coupon sheet. Stocks are 80 lb or 100 lb gloss or matte cover. 100 lb Gloss Cover is the default because it measures about 10 pt and clears the USPS 0.007″ minimum. 80 lb cover measures about 4 pt on this form, which is under that Retail minimum. 100 lb Gloss Cover also adds +1 business day on this form. Express (1-2 Business Days) is still the print label after approval and payment.
This page is for a first neighborhood test, a single apartment route, or a 5,000-piece Retail day that must print in 1-2 days. 49 printed is not 200 mailed
Forty-nine is our digital print floor so you can see color and trim on a real stack. USPS Every Door Direct Mail Retail still usually wants at least 200 mailpieces in a ZIP unless the routes in that ZIP add up to fewer than 200. A 49-piece carton is a proof stack, a leave-behind, or a handout. It is not a complete Retail drop for a normal city route. If the map shows 280 residential deliveries, pick 249 or 499 on this form, not 49, then buy postage in the EDDM tool.
Five thousand is both the top of this digital ladder and the USPS Retail daily cap per ZIP. That is a coincidence you can use. A Digital Fast 5,000 can fill one Retail day in one ZIP. It cannot fill a second ZIP the same day under Retail rules. More than 5,000 in one day, or a multi-ZIP saturation week, belongs on the full EDDM page and often on BMEU with a permit. BMEU also wants at least 200 pieces and an active USPS Marketing Mail permit.
A 49-piece Digital Fast stack still uses the same USPS filters as a 100,000-piece drop: residential only, or all deliveries. There is no businesses-only switch because the run is short or digital. You cannot add part of a route. Green map routes are already all-business. They are not a B2B filter you apply after a 1-2 day print.
Why 80 lb is a mail risk on this page
EDDM Retail flats must be at least 0.007″ thick, about three sheets of copy paper, and no more than 3.3 ounces. Our 100 lb covers measure about 10 pt (0.010″) and clear that floor. Our 80 lb covers measure about 4 pt (0.004″). That is under the Retail minimum. Do not pick 80 lb gloss or 80 lb matte if these pieces will be entered as EDDM at a Post Office. Keep 100 lb Gloss Cover, or move to the full EDDM page and 14 pt gloss, unless your clerk has accepted a measured 80 lb sample in writing. We still print 80 lb when you need a cheap handout. We will not pretend it is a Retail-safe flat.
4″ x 11″ is on this list because 11″ is longer than 10.5″, so it can qualify as a panoramic flat. 8.5″ x 11″ and 9″ x 12″ read as circulars. 6.5″ x 9″ and 6.5″ x 11″ are the safest first-drop sizes because height already beats 6.125″. This page does not sell 4.25″ x 11″, 4.5″ x 11″, 6.5″ x 8″, 6.5″ x 12″, 8″ x 10″, or 9″ x 11″. Those six live on the full EDDM and Express EDDM forms.
The free EDDM Indicia Option is on this digital form too. Ask us to add the imprint, tell us it is already in the file, or mark the job not intended for EDDM if you are only testing color. Put the simplified address on the top half. Retail uses “Local Postal Customer” or “Local Residential Customer.” Square corners are the safe choice. This digital form does not offer the 0.25″ round option, which is just as well: USPS finished corners stop at a 0.125″ radius.

We print and ship. You log into eddm.usps.com, pick routes, print forms, and bundle face-up. Recommended Retail bundles are 50 to 100 with the count on the slip. Production is 1-2 business days after approval and payment. 100 lb Gloss Cover can add +1 business day on this form. Transit is a separate UPS clock. As of August 21, 2026 USPS listed Retail Marketing Mail flats at $0.26 each up to 3.3 oz. Recheck the live USPS EDDM page before you pay the clerk.
Do not mail 80 lb Digital Fast cover as EDDM Retail without a measured sample. Do not treat 49 as a route. Do not expect 1-2 day print to create a businesses-only filter. Confirm the live Total deliveries on the USPS map, then pick the quantity step that covers it.

Does 49 pieces meet an EDDM drop minimum?
USPS saturation drops usually want more than 49. Print 49 only for a test proof stack. The billed default for that test on 6.5″ x 9″, 100 lb Gloss Cover, front only, is $29.00 print, $17.89 Ground, and $46.89 packed to 33140. Retail orders must contain at least 200 mailpieces in a ZIP unless the routes in that ZIP do not total over 200. Check the current EDDM minimum and the route Total in the official tool before you mail. If the route is 310 homes, order 249 or 499 on this page, not 49.
Is 80 lb cover allowed as EDDM?
Thickness and aspect ratio both matter. This form lists 80 lb cover at about 4 pt, which sits under the USPS 0.007″ Retail minimum. 100 lb cover at about 10 pt is the safer mail feel on this digital ladder. Confirm the piece with your Post Office if you still want 80 lb. For a carrier-handled default, use 100 lb here or 14 pt gloss on the full EDDM page.
Can a short Digital Fast run go to businesses only?
No. Quantity and 1-2 day production do not create a B2B-only EDDM path. The Post Office still offers Homes only or All on the routes you select. If you already have a shop list and want those addresses only, use Digital Fast postcards instead and address the cards yourself. Come back here when you want saturation on a neighborhood route.
Can I get 20,000 Digital Fast EDDM flats?
No. This ladder stops at 5,000, which also matches the USPS Retail daily cap per ZIP. Use the full EDDM page for large saturation runs. If you need more than 5,000 in one day or a permit entry point, that is a BMEU conversation at your Business Mail Entry Unit, not a Digital Fast quantity bump.
Which size is safest for a first drop?
6.5″ x 9″ or 6.5″ x 11″ are the common neighborhood flats on this list. Both are taller than 6.125″, so they qualify as flats without needing extra thickness. 4″ x 11″ works as a coupon strip because 11″ is longer than 10.5″. 8.5″ x 11″ and 9″ x 12″ are circulars. Skip any size that is not on this six-size list. Do not invent a 4″ x 6″ EDDM on Digital Fast. That card is a letter.
Does Digital Fast include a mailing list or postage?
No. You get printed cards. Lists and postage are separate. We can add the EDDM indicia for free if the file does not already have it. You still create the order in the USPS EDDM Online Tool, print facing slips and PS Form 3587, and drop the bundles. We ship the carton to you. We do not walk the route.
