Why 2″ x 2″ is a chip and 3″ x 3″ is a pocket card
Digital Fast has a 2.5″ x 2.5″ square that stops at 5,000. This page is 2″ or 3″ and climbs to 100,000. They are not the same die. 100 of the 3″ square on 14 pt. Gloss, front only, prints at $14.55 and packs at $28.25 with $13.70 ground. The print gap between 2″ and 3″ is $0.44 at this step. Duplex on the 2″ square at 100 prints at $19.21 and packs at $32.91. 16 pt. Premium Matte on 100 of the 2″ front-only squares prints at $17.64 and packs at $31.34.

Standard production is 3-5 business days after you approve the file and pay. This form does not list a rush print line. Linen and kraft add 2 days. Shipping starts after production. Ground is 1 to 4 days in transit. 2nd Day Air on 100 default 2″ squares to 33140 is $21.69. Next Day Air is $29.39. Packed with 2nd Day Air is $35.80. Packed with Next Day Air is $43.50. Those are carrier prices, not a faster square die.
There is no 2.5" square on this page. Many scanners expect 3.5" x 2". A 3" square may need a phone camera. Sharp corners dog-ear faster than a radius. If the pocket is rough, look at the rounded-square sizes on the round-corners page.
Artwork and the upload path
Build a 2″ x 2″ or 3″ x 3″ PDF or flattened PNG at 300 DPI, or open a Predesigned Design Studio card. A 2″ chip wants a mark, not a paragraph. A 3″ square can take a QR. Keep type inside the cyan safe. 14 pt. Uncoated or 13 pt. linen takes a pen on the back. Gloss and kraft fight a ballpoint. Silver Package is the listed design-build option when you do not have a file.

Which stock takes a pen on the back?
14 pt. Uncoated or 13 pt. linen. Gloss and kraft fight a ballpoint. Linen adds 2 production days. 16 pt. Premium Matte on 100 of the 2″ front-only squares prints at $17.64 and packs at $31.34. It feels thicker. It is still a coated writing surface. If someone will jot a price on the back, pick uncoated.
Can I get a 2.5″ square here?
Not on this die. 2″ and 3″ only. Digital Fast is the 2.5″ path. The economical page can price a 2″ or 3″ square among other shapes, but it defaults to a 2″ x 3.5″ rectangle at quantity 250. Stay here when the square is the whole product story.
Will a 3″ square fit a standard card scanner?
Many scanners expect 3.5″ x 2″. A 3″ square may need a phone camera instead. 100 of the 3″ front-only gloss squares print at $14.55 and pack at $28.25. If the card must feed a scanner at a trade show, use the economical 2″ x 3.5″ rectangle. If the card is a table drop, the 3″ square is the point.
