Classic stock
14 pt Gloss
14 pt Gloss is the workhorse cover stock most customers already know from networking cards and counter postcards. It feels stiff in the hand, photographs cleanly under UV or AQ coating, and still slides into a wallet without a fight.
Feel
Classic shiny business-card cover
Real-world compare
Classic cover stock. Often finished with High Gloss UV for shine and protection. Noticeably thicker than 100 lb cover (10 pt).
Best for
Business cards, postcards, door hangers, everyday card products
Good to know
Pairs well with UV or AQ coating for extra shine and scuff resistance.
About 14 pt Gloss
When you want color that pops and a familiar professional handshake, start here. The caliper sits above light 100 lb cover (about 10 pt) and below premium 16 pt boards, so you get durability without jumping to ultra-thick pricing. Pair it with High Gloss UV when the piece will live in a pocket or on a counter. Choose Uncoated instead when recipients need to write on the card. Browse the products below that currently offer this stock on 55printing, then jump to a similar paper if you want a softer matte face, a writable surface, or a thicker premium upgrade.

Frequently asked questions
How thick is 14 pt Gloss compared with 100 lb cover?
Can I write on 14 pt Gloss?
Which products use 14 pt Gloss here?
The note said thick card, and two different stocks could have matched
An order note said thick card and nothing else. Two stocks could have matched that phrase, and they print and feel different. We built the paper gallery so a vague word can be matched to the real sheet and to the products that use it.
Browse it yourself for free before you pick a stock. Send the file with the note and we name the sheet for you at no charge. You can still feel that sheet in the sample kit. Vague paper words are why this gallery exists.
Is this paper gallery what 55printing uses when quoting stock?
Yes. We use it to match everyday words like thick card or foldable flyer to stocks we actually print. We keep updating which products use each sheet, and we pair the gallery with the sample kit so you can feel the same family of paper.
Paper choice sits next to samples, Design Studio, and file tools
After you pick a stock you may still need a sample kit, a guideline file, or a Word-to-PDF. Those are the same tools we use after the gallery conversation. We keep them all improving.
